Hi Eric,
I do not know how to tell if the A/C is listed as an ACC. code on the cowl tag or not? Don’s car has M2 and is an A/C car but I don’t know that M2 means A/C for sure? The only code in the production and accessory list is N for 1962 A/C but I do not know if that is the code that was used on the cowl tag? I hope to hear from several others that have an original-factory A/C in any year 1961-63 F-85 and see what their tags list, if anything. Just trying to determine if the factory A/C is listed on the cowl tag or not.
I do not think that the number listed on the BODY line, after the mfg plant letter code is total number to date for the production year. I would be more likely to think it is the number from that production location per week or maybe per month? If anyone out there knows for sure, please reply!
There was a 1962 Oldsmobile cowl information website on the internet some years ago that gave the specifics of the various cowl tag stamping. It was pulled some time ago and now I wish I had saved it somehow, darn!!
