Yes, this is the page and links that I lost some time ago! Great to see it again.This has cleared up two cowl tag issues for me; first, the BODY code of plant and running make number from that plant only. Second, the IBM codes that may have been used for the ACC. codes. From this quick review, I stand corrected on Eric’s parts car, it is production #98 for Jetfire’s from Lansing-very early. Now I know that the IBM code for a 4-speed manual is 384. The BC – South Gate, California plant spelled out the 4 speed manual transmission. I still am not sure about the A/C option which should be ‘N’ and I have not found that code on a plate yet. I do not know what code was used for a vinyl top code color as I have only seen a ‘1’ and all of these have been white vinyl tops. I would like to know if they used the conv’t top code of ‘2’ for a black vinyl top? Anyway, thanks for the reference to this data again Don!
