My friend bought 4 cars, station wagon which I believe Joe bought, two convertibles one of which I bought, and a Jetfire which he is restoring for one of the members here.

The owner of all the cars and the long term owner and driver of the Jetfire and family F85 station wagon was an air force test pilot who set a speed record in the F-86 Sabre. He took all the Jetfire trim off it including switching hoods with the station wagon to hide its status and went street racing, surprising some competitors back in the day!

He had passed away when my friend purchased the cars but his son had some stories from his youth and the barn included a complete F86 Sabre ready for a future restoration project.

Quite a guy I guess.
