Hotter is better! You are no where the “danger zone”. Your cooling system will keep the temp under 252 degrees (50/50 Ethelyn glycol/water boil). The cool you are after cuts performance and fuel economy. Jetfire OEM thermostat is 168 degrees. The 200-220 is NOT a problem. If you really want a “shroud” go for it! Might just want to check your radiator first, they DO get plugged and require cleaning by rodding out the core.
