Console Document

    Just ran across this document. It shows the 3 speed console was an entirely different one. It is shorter than the automatic console. I am wondering if this document is correct. Need to dig out the 63 assembly manual and look in there. I thought only the front plate for the shifter hole was different.

    Here is a picture of the only one that I ever saw. It is different and maybe the floor pan is different too? The 3-speed floor pan is certainly different than the 4-speed. The front compartment is an ash tray with a cover.

    I believe I have seen that picture before but never really looked at the side moldings. It is for sure different. Before I just thought it was the insert for the back at the shifter location that was different. I bet you are right about the 3 speed floor.
