It was just revealed to me!!!!! I was presented a document that is a REAL Oldsmobile document that shows the brake down of the Jetfire per transmission. He was not allowed to let me have it or even take a picture of it but he did tell me where I can get a copy. He did not have the authority to let me have the document. I DID see it with my own eyes and will do what it takes to get a copy. I will likely have to pay to get it and not sure how much it is going to cost. He only had the 62 numbers but said the 63 numbers are available. The following is the 62 numbers.

    16 3 speed
    203 4 speed
    3546 Hydromatic

Great find Eric! My efforts 34 years ago could not get this info! Hope you go after the ’63 Jetfire data too. Would be interesting if they had records for all the F-85’s. Keep us posted.

They should have 63 but the guy that showed me the 62 documents did not have it on him. I will get started on getting my own copies for both 62 and 63. I will scan them and post them when I get them but it may take a trip to Michigan.

Just got a phone call tonight that I was hoping to get all week. Looks like another step in the right direction. I have no idea when I will be able to get the information but when I do I should have the authority to share the documents. I am not sure how the 63 documents will look but the 62 documents brake down all the F-85 line by transmission but I only had time to write down the Jetfire line. I believe the 63 docs will be the same but will not know till they are found. With putting together information from a couple of sources, the 63 information may be more difficult to find. I will keep you posted.

New information! I am not allowed to share the documents yet but I now have the documents for 62 and 63 in my possession. I am allowed to tell what is in them, I just can not duplicate the document electronically or photocopy them.

The 63 Jetfire transmission brake down is as follows.

    Hydromatic 4406
    4 speed 1391
    3 speed 45
