I used the Melling K-20H for the gear and spring kit, and a Sealed Power 224-518TP for the trust plate kit. Check the trust surface of your pump to see it it is worn.

Put a std pump in my eng. D&D recommended a high volume pump, my eng builder and TA Performance recommended against it. Reason being don’t need it. My 62 Cutlass conv’t is plastic too.

I just pulled enough of my 63 Cutlass and Jetfire and both of those were plastic. So looks like maybe all 63 were plastic for this super small sample…. Not that this is a big deal but still interesting finding these differences no matter what the reason. I guess I need to find more 62 cars of both style and see if one is mixed from what is found so far.

My ’63 Cutlass has plastic plugs. Luckily in great shape so I cleaned them up and reused them.
