I thought I better post this here as the Classified section is slow to upload.
Recreate your own Factory style Turbo Rocket Fluid filter. You need to watch E-bay or other NOS parts sellers and purchase new-old stock AC model GF-61 filters; same as the GF-91 with 5/16 fuel lines ~ only without the TRF wording. Also useable are the GF-61-P filter…[Read more]

I tried looking this up on Aadco and they do not list Oldsmobile nor Pontiac Tempest. How did you guys find the bar? My car is a 63.

Sandy, I just bought the stencils from you through PayPal. Your daughter is a genius. Tell her thank you.
I believe Chevy Orange engine paint would be a good match also. -

Thanks Oaklyss, anything that makes these Turbo cars different needs to be recreated. I just used a bright red and if you hold the filters 2 feet apart it looks correct but I think Testors Competition Orange ‘may be’ the absolute correct.
I am also working on the red button for the TRF tank cap too. Anyway I submitted an ‘ad’ for the stencil in…[Read more] -

Sandy, that is beautiful work. My car also had the original GF-91 still on it. I have a few GF-61s that I had tried to make a stencil for, but no luck. I had 2 NOS GF-91s a few years ago when I was between Jetfires, but sold them. I would love to have a stencil. What paint did you find for that color?

My car came with an original GF-91 TRF Filter on it and since we can not buy these any more I have been working towards recreating the TRF filter identical the factory equipped unit (none the less, Eric managed to score an NOS GF-91 one recently) So I decided since we can purchase the correct ‘style’ filter on e-bay, I needed to come up with a…[Read more]

Read the option list. You could separately order all the trim pieces used on the Cutlass models when you bought a base F-85.

O.K. I see, and I can believe it is possible that someone like the dealer put the Cutlass emblems on my car for a better sale. That car on ebay has the fancy steering wheel, back up lights, and a clock. Also you see how the oldsmobile is spelled with individual letters across the back. I wonder if that is a F-85 only thing, or do some Cutlass have…[Read more]

Turns out that I do not have the correct seat tracks. The last Jetfire I picked up I knew did not have the original seats but they were the original style. Well, whatever they took them out of was no a 61-63 f-85 or Buick because the tracks are completely different.

I thought you might! Thanks
Yes, the adjustable seat tracks for the passenger side. Mirror of the drivers side.
They both have a fork in the front that goes under a bolt and the rear has a hole on one track to bolt down and a hole in the other track to slip over a stud in the floor. They bolt up to the seat frame with one bolt front and rear.…[Read more]

You do realize that the side trim was factory-available on the F-85 convertible under option K-8, right? As the car in the ebay ad Jim linked shows – an F-85 convertible could have been ordered from the factory with the same chrome side trim as a Cutlass (or F-85 Deluxe), but it would have had F-85 emblems, not…[Read more]

Looking for what the Olds f85 bucket seat sliders may cross to other than the Buick or Pontiac. Something more common hopefully.

That is the correct block also and has a 303 date code so that also fits the car. This is a really special car to be documented that well and so original. One interesting observation, It does not have the external depressurization valve so not sure if the recall was ever done on it but at the same time, The screw is missing in the carburetor float…[Read more]
