I took detailed pictures of my inspection stampings and also cut some others out from my parts cars. I took them to the local printing store and they are making me rubber stamps so I can duplicate them. The top corner of the O for OK is slightly off for the / style but I am not going to make them redo it. Just need to find the proper shade of yellow now.

That is what mine looked like till I messed them up. I was not going to paint them at all but made the wrong choice. Now I have to redo them. I think I have three others somewhere.

Some other parts I have ready. Just noticed I put the clips on the TRF bottle holder upside down, lol. Now I will have scratches in the paint taking them off. The color of the clips were a red oxide color and I want to repaint those anyway.

I have a 62 jetfire all original down to the stamp makings on the firewall and frame. paint and interior have seen better days but was wondering if a frame off restoration would be advisable or leave it as a survivor and just enjoy it as is. the turbo had been removed and converted to four barrel but all the original turbo parts were placed in the…[Read more]

Lots more hardware clear zinc plated. The 4 speed inspection cover turned out much better than I expected. It leeks better in person than in the picture. It almost looks silver in the picture but it is clear zinc. I also had the oil fill cap zinc plated. The top is the only side that gets painted and wanted the bottom side to have the correct zinc…[Read more]

Just talked to the body guy. He is having problems with it now. He has several hours in getting the paint to match correct but says he finely got it. He said that he sprayed some parts and something went wrong and turned out terrible. This is the first painting he has done since the old shop burned down. He said he is adjusting to the new booth…[Read more]

Unfortunately, the son also had 2 4 speed cars sitting outside in the weeds with rust. This being Calif he figured no one would want them and sent them to the crusher before we got there to transport the other cars!

I am trying to quit buying turbos and carburetors but just couldn’t let this one go. It is a 63 4 speed carb and a very nice core. Still has all the choke cable brackets and parts. Usually at least some of the parts are missing. Sadly, they cut the cable off.

That Jetfire hood was still on the wagon when I bought it, but he told me he was going to keep it and swap a normal hood back onto the wagon. I was OK with that.

My friend bought 4 cars, station wagon which I believe Joe bought, two convertibles one of which I bought, and a Jetfire which he is restoring for one of the members here.
The owner of all the cars and the long term owner and driver of the Jetfire and family F85 station wagon was an air force test pilot who set a speed record in the F-86 Sabre.…[Read more]
