This is a picture they sent me but they are supposed to be made of the same Nitrile rubber as original.

Wow those look pretty good, how is the material? Will it hold up to heat and methanol?

Here is a picture of the prototypes. Their comment was that they still need more work but I like what I see so far.

Don’t sound like a float or accelerator pump issue to me. If all you are doing is putting it into gear and it dies then it is something else. What happens when you give it a little gas and put it into gear?

So after 2 months I found an original 4gc carb off of a 62 F85. Had it profesionally rebuilt by Don Monroe. Had the shop install and while at it do a tune up… plugs, wires..the works..Thank GOD for that. Found out previous owner cross threaded # 5 and #6 plugs. Off to the machine shop.. Anyway just got it back and it is still hard to start, and…[Read more]

I just got an email that they should have some parts made next week. I am not sure if that is a test part or the actual finished product but we will see. At lest it is still moving along. Just hope nothing happens to my NOS one I sent them.

Thanks for the pictures Jim. He has an NOS one now also. I was able to get two of them from my Hawaii friend and one went to Oaklyss. For sure need to save the old one so someone can make a replacement in the future with it.

A replacement can be made from a piece of pig skin or leather. It looks like you have the rectangle wire with the fingers to hold it to the bell housing, that is good! The clip that holds the material to the fork, if lost, could be fabricated too. Pics of the leather one I made, however, I had the wire frame and fork clip.

I will try to get a picture of the clip on the fork end. I am undecided if I will use the NOS boot or reuse the original one on my car. I am leaning toward using the original and saving the NOS for a backup.

Eric, I removed my shift fork boot and it’s the same color as yours. I don’t see any clip holding it to the fork. There are repros that color for early Chevys.

Bryce has passed away and the family is selling the car. I talked the the guy that listed it and he is not really that interested in selling it on eBay and prefer you call him and deal in person. He just didn’t know where else to list it.

We had talked early this year about trying to get his car up to the Homecoming this year but he felt that it was to far for him to venture out at his age.

I am worried about this car popping up on eBay. I know the car and going to call the owner tomorrow. I fear something has happened to cause it to be listed. He is the original owner to the car and was in no way willing to sell it. I hope everything is ok with him.…[Read more]

Ideally, I would like to find one ready to install, then return the core. I have no spare or parts cars available and it would be difficult to have the car sitting in the way for a month or more while waiting for the rebuild.
