Also, welcome to the Jetfire community. We are a small group of very rare car owners. From what I know of your car it looks to be a really good one. I supplied them the original back seat cover to use for material to fix the fronts.

It has a roughly 50% chance of being good. If it is bad it has become very difficult to find good used ones. I have 10 “extra” turbo systems and of those only 3 had good ones. I have since sold all of those good ones. I will be talking to these people soon and hope to have a sample in the next couple weeks.

I know the car and owner. Car is mint inside and out. Needs under hood detailing. Very fair price for a original mint car. Go look at it you will not be disappointed.
Good luck

Is this something that is ‘required’ if you disassemble and rebuild or is there a chance the original may be fine? I just got my car and have not yet started to tear it apart.

Yes, it works great. Just all the gaskets are old and the metering valve was leaking. I been driving it for 2 years but it’s time to rebuild the motor also. It still has the original pistons in it but the cylinders are worn.

Turns out that my replacement master cylinder is not a Moraine, it is a Wagner. I could be wrong but I am not sure if any of these cars came with a Wagner? I will use it till I find a good Delco I can rebuild. I have it done and rebuilt. I also got my blast cabinet fixed and started phosphating more hardware today after work. If anyone had a Delco…[Read more]

This 63 was just posted on eBay. This car was at the Homecoming show and appears to be a very original car.

thanks for the list Eric, I will check my 63. I looked at it and thought ‘that is pretty paltry’ considering what I have had experience with pertaining to sway bar size and functionality.

I am pooped… Started at 6:30 this morning bead blasting bolts and phosphating till I blew the air line on the bead blast cabinet. Can’t get one till Tuesday… Then started working on master cylinders. This car had a Delco Master cylinder on it and had rust pitting in it. I had changed it out a couple years ago with a Moraine brand. These cars…[Read more]

Glad you are still going on it. Do you not have the old head bolts? I would have to look but I know I have some head bolts, just not sure if I have an entire set.

They contacted me again and are saying the “beginning of September” instead of September 1st. At least I am still on the radar. Looks like I am up to 12 that are presold so only 8 left if all 12 actually go. Well, make that 6 or 7 because I am using at least one of them myself.

Done some cooking today… Cooking head bolts. I started doing Manganese Phosphate myself and redone the head bolts today. They turned out really good. I done an extra bolt from another engine also. I will do some tests on the extra bolt to see how well it holds up. Should be as good as the original coating.
