Just an update…I dont know if they are a match but they also got in a 62 buick special.

This manual transmission inspection cover I cleaned real easy to see what if any paint was on it. There was zero paint of any kind and not even under the bolt heads. I got the front suspension and steering all apart Saturday and took another Jetfire front suspension I had apart today. I will use all the best parts from the two setups along with all my NOS steering and suspension parts.

I just got pictures of a 62 rust free Jetfire fender with the correct holes. Looks like my problem is solved!

My NOS one is 62 and has the holes punched so I would assume it got another part number for that if not for more than that also. I want to believe it will work. DVAP has a rust free 61 fender

I would have sworn that the 61 and 62 fenders were the same P/N, but the parts book shows different numbers for each year. What I don’t know is if the P/N difference is simply the fact that the 62 fenders have fastener holes punched for the die cast extension on the leading edge.

Too bad, basic function of a website gone. You’d think he could add it if directed to. Well at least we know what happened, poor work.

You need to watch eBay . The parts show up from time to time. Better prices too.

Knuckle head. He rebuilt the web site with new soft ware. He probably does not have that option any more. It’s gone. If you asked him direct and he did not answer then it’s gone!
If you are looking for anything you will have to do it the old fashion way by looking through each one at a time!

Talked to the body guy yesterday and he had me take the body to him today. I done that and started the tear down on the engine and transmission. At first glance, the cylinders look to be ok. My plan is to put new rings, bearings, cam, lifters and timing set in it. I have an NOS original cam I am using. For the heads, whatever they need….

I put the entire glass down on an old baby mattress then had a block of wood I set on the glass and then tapped on the block of wood with a rubber hammer. Come right off. There are two screws on the one end that need removed first.

How do you get the glass out of the frames?
