Oops, meant to say stock spindle and hubs.
Yep, I would imagine the thickness of the rotor hat would influence the wheel placement further to spindle and hub. -

Uses the stock spindle for the 4 lug so no change.

Hello everyone. Still looking for the GLUE-in Windshield Inside Surround Molding for a 62 Jetfire.
I have the mirror center chrome but none of the bottom, side, or top molding.
If you don’t have it all I am interested in what you do have. Mine is all rotten.
Color doesn’t matter.Thank you Eric for coming up with the rear window interior…[Read more]

Here’s a good alternative for pulling the pan without a lot of work.
The device you see in place above the eng supports the eng with the rod you see headed down out of sight.
Drag link dropped.
The Suspension side mounts were loosened a little, front mount in place, steering was disconnected at the box, the suspension was dropped very little and…[Read more] -

Have a friend with 62 Jetfire in need of an interior trim piece or two.
Don’t know if it is the same as a cutlass coupe but possibly?
If someone out there has some interior trim available i will find out exactly what piece(s).Thanks

62cutlassconvert replied to the topic Evans antifreeze and heater valve in the forum Discussion Topics – Ask the Experts 3 years, 1 month ago
Received my new Viton diaphragm valve and have installed. Hope this is the last one!
The also pulled off the end of the valve tube and replaced the stem seal in there. I don’t believe Old Air went that far.
Terrance at Fusick as very helpful.
Thanks for all the comments.

Hi,
The problem is not rebuilding the valve or getting the diaphragm, please read up to the earlier posts for the issue.
Also, I understand there is a stem seal that should be replaced behind the diaphragm. Were you able to get that?

Fusick has now had produced and tested a Viton diaphragm that is resistant to the Evans and other antifreeze like Dexcool with additives corrosive to the commonly used rubber diaphragms.
Doing one for me now. Be glad to have a heater back. -

So one and possibly 2 of the head bolt holes in the block that also hold down the rocker arm assembly are stripped out. Engine is fully assembled in the car. Head, valve train, and intake are removed. The hole that is completely stripped previously had a crack and the crack on the valley side that was welded up when the engine was rebuilt about…[Read more]

I appreciate it.
Yes, it has Fel-Pro now. I am only doing the one side. Yeah I have been looking and have come up with similar cost on an eng set but thought I could buy just one for $15-$20. You can for the Buick eng but not the Olds.
Here’s what I have found since the stripped bolt.
The stripped bolt allowed that journal to lift. In lifting it…[Read more] -

I have a stripped head bolt on the passenger side head, one of the ones that hold down the rocker assy, so I need to pull the head and put a hellicoil in.
That means I need a head gasket and all I can find are complete engine sets. Don’t need all the extra and don’t want to spend for it.Anyone have a source for/or a spare Fel-Pro head gasket…[Read more]
