The 2020 Nationals will be in July. I don’t remember the exact dates, but probably the third week or so. Apparently June in Tennessee isn’t hot and humid enough… 😉

Thanks, Jim. Was that 1963-only? I don’t see courtesy lights on the 1962 options list.

Car appears to be pretty solid. Nice find. What’s the on-off knob to the left of the heater control panel?

Yes, the threads that the idler arm pivots on wear out prematurely, allowing the arm itself to slop up and down. It’s apparently the threads on the bracket, as I put a new bushing on the threads of a used bracket and there was still slop. This slop is not present when both parts are new.

I’ll second the installation of a rear bar first. Enlarging the front bar just makes understeer worse. The back bar makes handling more neutral.

Sounds like you’d have to a bunch of money into it just to bring it up to the status of a parts car.
Are you sure it is a P? Is this what is on the title and also the VIN tag? Could it have been a typo on the title? Can we get a picture of the cowl tag and VIN tag? I am wondering what the build date is.
There should not be a letter in that position of the VIN.

That link is from ebay. The Delco radio manuals are listed there regularly.

Ames Performance sells upholstery for the Tempest, which also fits. Of course, none of those options will be correct.

It cost me just under $900 for door and rear quarter panels for my 67 Delta from SMS, so that number is accurate as of a month ago. I also got all the turquoise upholstery materials and headliner for the 67 from them as well. Certainly not cheap, but where else are you going to get this stuff. Despite horror stories about service, my materials arrived exactly ten days after ordering. Door panels are supposed to be done in another month or so.

SMS sells the upholstery materials and can make the correct heat-sealed door panels.
