Pic 2 is the rebuilt oil pump. You should install a new gears and spring kit, and a steel trust plate kit.

Pic 1 A machinist will want to deck the block. I told mine no. These numbers are too important to have them machined off. My block was good and the composite head gaskets seal just fine even with imperfections. Also, decking a block will raise the compression, and you don’t want that.
The water pump is NOS, the oil pressure sensor is NOS, the…[Read more] -

Just installed the stenciled Turbo Rocket Fluid filter. The green nut for the bracket is original paint.

That’s the filter I just did with your stencil kit. Works great! The photo shows the filter on photos of an original filter and next to my original filter.
The only difference is the thickness of the arrow. The stencil arrow’s shaft is slightly thinner. -

Found a paint color that looks like a perfect or very close match for the filter lettering. I went to the hobby store and matched it up. It’s Testors Gloss Bright Red 1231. Competition Orange was too orange. Gloss red was too red.

My letters are good. The letters have a “wave” shape on the pegs that go in the metal slots.

The trunk letters are just pressed into the metal and come off fairly easy if you spray WD40 on them

Sandy, I just bought the stencils from you through PayPal. Your daughter is a genius. Tell her thank you.
I believe Chevy Orange engine paint would be a good match also. -

Sandy, that is beautiful work. My car also had the original GF-91 still on it. I have a few GF-61s that I had tried to make a stencil for, but no luck. I had 2 NOS GF-91s a few years ago when I was between Jetfires, but sold them. I would love to have a stencil. What paint did you find for that color?

Thanks for posting those. The car was built 1st week of December, but delivered to the owner December 14. It must have been a special order for that leasing company. That is a fast timeline!
There is a number on the block also, on a pad just under the head number, under that black wire and the oil. That would show if its the original…[Read more] -

I have never seen a wrong year on any cowl tag before. I have owned a November and January South Gate Jetfires, so before and after yours, but both had 63 on the tags. So it’s very strange.
One thing that would help, is to see the Protecto plate and book. It will have the selling date and engine numbers as well.
Then if we can see a photo of the e…[Read more] -

Can you post a photo of the cowl tag? I know it’s hard with the AC line but we would love to see the build date and any ACC codes
