I’m not agains the rover block, other then my one particular car, actually planing on getting a cross bolted main rover block from the junkyard to use my crower stroker crank in for a future build, should be just over 300 cubes.

I know they are stronger, that’s why I said Without going with rover block. I’m just weird, it has to be an olds block

I’ve seen vague mention of the jetfire block being “beefier” than the standard block. Does anyone know this to be true? If so where does the “beef” come in? Mains, caps, both?

I have a tank i pulled out of a 62 to keep as a spare but i dont need it anymore. didnt drive the car too much before i stripped it but never had any issues with it. if your interested let me know.

yep, my first 62 and sadly the only one that remains. Im planning on moving after summer into a place with a nicer garage so i can bring it home and work on it again

I converted one of my 62’s to an alternator using the stock generator brackets, just needed two spacers and longer bolts and it works great. i used a 12si

if i remember correctly i put 185 series on a set of 15’s i have and they look almost too wide for the wheel. a 195 might be over the limit for a stock width wheel and still look ok.

I called them and they have a few in stock, kinda pricey and a couple pounds heavier than what i read the old scheifers weigh

Looking for an aluminum flywheel for my 215 im putting together. if you have one or know of one for sale please let me know. i have the “heavy flywheel” on my engine now and ive read you can get the inertia ring machined off but i dont think you get much weight savings.

i had a 62 with an edelbrock intake and carb. as long as you have the correct ratio and adjustment you should be able to do whatever you want

my wagon was converted to a floor shift, auto, and id like to go back to a column shift. the correct column is still in place but the shift lever is gone and the linkage from column to trans. i also have a stock three speed set up, for some reason i didnt keep the column or the shift linkage but i have everything else to do the swap. keeping the…[Read more]

It might be hard to find one, all the other Saginaw 3 speeds I’ve had don’t look like the 3 speed that was in my 62. It’s actually the only one I’ve ever seen
