Does anyone have a source for rear upper control arm bushings. The service manual says the entire control arm is replaced as a unit but I thought there was an old thread on here regarding bushing replacements. I can’t seem to find it now.

Very nice! I will pick that color up myself. I still need to do mine but will likely wait till I am closer to done with the car.

That’s the filter I just did with your stencil kit. Works great! The photo shows the filter on photos of an original filter and next to my original filter.
The only difference is the thickness of the arrow. The stencil arrow’s shaft is slightly thinner. -

Excellent, Thank you Oaklyss! Is that an original filter or one you did with the stencil kit?

Sorry, I did not include a ‘post pressure wash’ photo in last post as stated.
Results of the pressure washing and brushing, I have since hand wiped the underside of the car. Seriously as ‘rust free of a car’ you could ever hope to find!
All the F85’s bodies were built as automatics. If it was a 4 speed order they cut a hole in the transmi…[Read more] -

The final step before preparing to paint the engine bay & front end was the final underneath clean. We set the car upon the hoist with a ‘giant diaper’ of tarps so we could keep the dirty water flowing out the door of the shop. Steve first sprayed it with degreaser then pressure washed. I manned the floor squeegee and Haz-Mat Man got real dirty!…[Read more]

The engine bay was absolutely caked with oil, grease and grime. The engine had a number of oil leaks but on the bright side where was no rust!
It was quite a few days of scraping to get all the heavy crud off the engine bay area. Meanwhile and Steve had removed the heater box and bundled and bagged the wiring harness. Then Steve’s alter ego:…[Read more]

Found a paint color that looks like a perfect or very close match for the filter lettering. I went to the hobby store and matched it up. It’s Testors Gloss Bright Red 1231. Competition Orange was too orange. Gloss red was too red.

Thanks for the feedback Ken. I kind of decided to not spend any more ‘unnecessary’ money until I have this car on the road….but now I know it works fine, there is no point in letting my Summit bucks expire! We were certainly pleased with the rear Aadco sway bar we put on the 65 Riviera! Any pictures you have of the install will be appreciated!

This is actually the correct color but it is base clear. Also, the original metallic in her paint you can’t hardly see anymore. Her paint is faded really bad and the former owners buffed it so much that you can see primer in some places. Sadly, her car really needs repainted but we like it as it is. I do plan to pull her car apart sometime in the…[Read more]

Car looks awesome Eric! So this is a different red or is it just the lighting on Melissa’s car?

Installed with supplied hardware and plates and worked great. Had a friend help hold up one side while i started all the bolts and loosely line up everything, was easier than it seemed. Plates covered all the way across with little over hang, exposed bolts and nuts is really the only seen and unsightly part. I forgot to take…[Read more]

Have you tried it out with your existing front bar? Might work good. Over/understeer will be the key.
You used the supplied square mounting plate?

Where is everyone getting their decals from? Like the ones on the oil fill cap, round generator red F terminal, and radiator hold down decal?

Installed the Addco 936 kit last night, really wasn’t a problem. Used the an existing hole behind the parking brake cable, little bigger than 3/8, to mock it up on the car. Then drilled one hole for the front part of the bracket to fully mount the bar. Once the front hole is located and drilled…..everything tightened up with no binding. Really…[Read more]

OOPs, clicked the wrong button.
I meant to add a caption on those photos. I was looking for photos to post and when I saw that tranny photo I did not even recognize what it was until I sat the photo in full size. The greasiest transmission I ever laid my hands on.[blockquote]BBCode you used is not allowed.[/blockquote]

After pressure washing everything well and taking a bunch of photos – tear-down begins!
We started by removing the hood then carefully removing the turbo unit and its associated pieces and setting them aside. Then we dropped the transmission as we do not have the auxiliary lifts required to drop the front clip. We removed the heater box, rad,…[Read more] -

These are the first photos I got from under the car with some of the dirt and most of the spider egg sacs knocked off. We have a rolling pressure wand with multiple heads we rolled back in forth under the car.
