Just got another picture. I will likely go out there tomorrow. The front fenders are just sitting on it and the doors will need aligned after it is on the ground. Now is when it gets really fun for me. I hope to make good progress for the next two months but after that I will slow down again. 

I had wondered about maybe needing to do new stitching but was hopping I didn’t need to. Maybe I had better be safe and do it. I never took the bows out of the headliner because I was worried I would harm it. The bows look good and not rusty so I would rather leave them in. I have not looked but is it possible to stitch it with the bows still in?

You might want to consider restitching it. I reused my headliner because the pattern on the replacement material that SMS and others have doesn’t match the original pattern. Restored the heater box today. The fan motor is a satin gloss and the boxes are gloss. Most of the screws are phosphate but 4 are zinc plated. Installed an NOS heater control valve and re-cored heater core.

The body and paint guy sent me more pictures. He has LED strip lighting and makes the reflection of the lights look like the paint is messed up.

I have no experience with Convertibles. Scott Winn just parted a convertible and was telling me that the seat adjusters were different. He is not here on this forum but he is on the 61-63 f-85 Facebook page. I am not sure if he can help or not?

Thanks Jim. He had me send him pictures of the proper brake between the silver and the body color of the front pan. He already knows about the top of the fuel door and the opening. He also has to paint the little part in the top of the door jamb with interior silver that is between the weatherstripping and the headliner. He had forgot about that…[Read more]

Looking good! Don’t forget the two Jetfire silver paint accents. Gas filler and top of front gravel shield. Looks like you will have the car back by spring!

My plans changed tonight so I made it to the body mans house! He was about ready to paint the white top and likely is right now as I type. The paint is VERY close if not perfect to the original color. It is hard to say what the original metallic level was but by the records this is the correct metallic. Can’t see it in the pictures though.

He is likely going nuts wanting you to see things in person too!

My body guy is killing me! Just sent me two more pictures. I am going nuts wanting to get there but I can’t till Wednesday.
