I am installing the heads on my 63 Jetfire 215 engine and am using the Felpro gasket set. One side of the head gasket is all metal and the other side is not. Which side is supposed to face up towards the head? There are no markings on the gasket itself and the Felpro instructions are not specific. Can any one give me a quick answer on this?
    Thanks
    Kelly

The metal side goes down toward the block, the composite side goes up toward the cylinder head. I sprayed the metal side of the gasket with Permatex Spray Copper High Temp Coating before installing them on my Cutlass 215.
