Be sure to use correct original style gasket for the pump. The later melting gaskets being supplied don’t have an internal relief required for these pumps. You can punch one out of the later gasket or the pump will blow it out( not really desirable).

Also TA Performance sells a gasket shim kit, .001-.0065” thick, so you can get the end play of gear to thrust plate perfect. Correct style gaskets.
