Jetfire side trim white or silver?

Is the side trim on a 1962 Jetfire suppost to be white in the center or just natural silver?

Silver – actually it is brushed aluminum.

Thanks, mine was painted white at some time. Can’t tell by the photos of other cars. So I will strip it off.
