Does anyone know if the ring gear is the same between the automatic and manual flywheels? I want to believe they are but not sure. I have a Jetfire flywheel with a bad ring gear and was thinking about swapping the ring gear out from an automatic.
The 1963 parts book lists only one ring gear for 1961-1963 F-85’s. Your proposed swap should work.
