nonhogParticipantRear window trim removal? I already got the lower pieces off. Don’t want to mess up the other trim. Looks like a rubber weatherstrip, not sure how the trim is attached.
Thanks in advance.November 11, 2014 at 12:06 am #10777
young oldsParticipantidk if 63 is exactly the same but on a 62 the rear window trim is held on by clips. if i remember correctly i used a screwdriver and popped them off.

joe_padavanoParticipantOlds used two different methods to retain the glass and thus two different methods of holding the trim in place. Cars that use the glue-in glass have regular trim clips that require the trim clip removal tool sold at nearly any auto parts store. Cars that retain the glass in the rubber gasket have the trim pressed into a groove in the gasket. There are no clips.
