I may have missed it but I didn’t see any videos of Jetfires driving (from inside the car). Is there one with somebody flooring it so we could hear the turbo? I would enjoy a video with a GoPro or whatever. Just a suggestion
Unfortunately you can’t hear the turbo on these cars. On a very rare occasion and just the right situation you can hear it but only if you are trying to hear it. That being said, I did spin one using a shop vac on the blow side. With it spooling 2 feet away from your ear with the engine off it is very loud. I don’t have a GoPro but would like to install one near the grill or cowl area and see if it would pick up the sound. I would bet it still won’t. I believe these turbos are 45mm?? and only boost to around 6psi so I think that limits the turbo sound a little.
Ok. That answers my question. I was about 5-6 years old last time I heard a JetFire. Thanks. Looking forward to any videos y’all can come up with. I’ve got my Daddy’s 67 442 but alias the JetFire is gone. Thanks again
