I’m restoring a ’62 Jetfire with a 4 speed manual transmission. It was pretty heavily modified by the previous owner so I’m trying to find some original Jetfire parts. I pulled the distributor and found that it has the part number for the Jetfire distributor with the automatic transmission (1111013). The distributor part number for the manual transmission is 1111021. If I use the distributor for the automatic transmission in my manual transmission car, will it make much difference in performance? Does anyone out there know?

    It will make no difference.

Okay, thanks. That’s what I thought.

I have a Jetfire 4 speed distributor if you just have to have the correct numbers. The problem is, it is stuck in the block and not going to be easy to remove. It would need a good rebuild I would assume, not looked at it for a while.

Thanks, Eric. I think I’ll go with the one I have as it appears in good condition and it won’t matter for performance.
