We should be able to make it. We have the car being painted now. Turbo is done and bottom end of motor is built. We just have to get back from paint and install everthing. Were hoping to be done in 8 months.
This car actually came out of a barn. I have always heard of barn finds but was never lucky enough to find one. This car was actually bought by another gentleman who bought it in a package deal with a Polara. He posted this car on fb and I saw it. I own a 63 Skylark so I was familiar with the 215. I didnt know what a Jetfire was but was intrigued by the pics. I went to see the car and bought it on the spot. The story was the owner was sick and sold both cars to help pay for a surgery. The engine was removed and rebuilt due to smoking. I have all the parts to put it back together except radiator and air cleaner. I will send turbo to be rebuilt. The paint and interior is superb for a survivor. The under carriage was undercoated which probably saved the car. There is 1 rust spot behind passenger rear wheel. I plan to have car done by summer if all goes well. Whats the value of these cars as a nice survivor? How many 62s on the road with turbos?
