jensenracing77ParticipantI need to know what the proper bolt and head marking is for this location. It is the end piece to the 4 speed crossmember. The bolt that bolts them together and not the ones going into the body. Mine were so bad that they broke and somehow I lost them. I don’t know what the proper bolt is now. Also wonder if it is fine thread or not and if you can tell if it is zinc or phosphate? My pictures show that it had a flat washer on the nut side but that is all I can tell.

john sageParticipantI can’t help you with the bolt style. However I am reminded that i need one of the end pieces like you have in your hand. I have the cross member but there was only end piece with it.

jensenracing77ParticipantThat is going to be tough to find.

john sageParticipantYes, It’s quite a project doing a 4 speed conversion. So many hard to find parts. I have most everything I need but when it comes time, if I have to put the automatic back in because i’m missing a couple parts,, so be it.

jensenracing77ParticipantJust an update, I found my broken bolts and also found one like it. I just need to find another one. The one I have I do not have any idea where it come from. It was in my 70-72 bucket of bolts. I may have to resort to a different bolt till I find one. It is going to be a good while before I need it anyway.

jensenracing77ParticipantYes, thank you. I did find one but need to find another one. The one I found was phosphate and not zinc but it is the correct bolt. I hope I can find another one. I need to look closer at my broken one because I think my original one was phosphate also. Hard to tell from the rust but a little WD40 should help reveal what it was on my car.
