Is there a source for a replacement trunk mat for 62? At least the original material? We are still in the planning stages of restoring this car and looking for a better trunk mat. It needs to be very correct or i will just reuse this stained up one. For this car I would rather use a stained original one than something not correct.

Try SMS Auto Fabrics. We got a mat from them and it looks good. They show samples of their material on line They also have correct material for seats. Pricey but it’s right.

    Hi Eric,
I have not found an acceptable replacement for the trunk liner. There were three different shades to the liners installed by Oldsmobile. According to Harry Samuel, there were several suppliers to Oldsmobile and they all had different shades, gray, beige and red tones. I don’t know if Oldsmobile tried to match up the trunk liner to the body color of the car or if it was just random? I would be interested to hear what you think of the SMS offering. They sent me a sample about 7 or 8 years ago and I said NO! It would be great if they have a better source now. (I found an NOS replacement on eBay for a 1962 Buick and it was perfect!)

They sent me a sample and it looks close but not exact. I am going to see if I can send them a sample of mine and see what they say. Both of my 62’s and my 62 parts car all look the same to me and are just a little different than my sample.
