scottParticipantyes…..I will get a pic, but it looks like someone welded something they shouldnt have…Per previous posts on other blogs…..this may be the issue with the shifting esp. from a stop….The tires shouldnt be spinning from a stop unless I am racing it. Just a normal take off. Also trying to figure out if these had return springs on the carb…and the location? If these did…mine seems to be missing.

joe_padavanoParticipantFirst, that “glop” is on the throttle linkage, not the TV linkage. Second, the linkage is hosed because whoever swapped in that Qjet apparently only knew how to use a torch and a sledge hammer. The stock linkage isn’t going to do you any good with a Qjet. I had to fabricate my own linkage when I did the E-brock swap. Adjusting the TV linkage took trial and error.
