Yes, the carpet will tuck into the aluminum side trim. That trim is anodized but anodize is a very hard material. You can get aggressive with it if you have to. I just pulled enough of my 63 Cutlass and Jetfire and both of those were plastic. So looks like maybe all 63 were plastic for this super small sample…. Not that this is a big deal but still interesting finding these differences no matter what the reason. I guess I need to find more 62 cars of both style and see if one is mixed from what is found so far.

Yes, thank you. I did find one but need to find another one. The one I found was phosphate and not zinc but it is the correct bolt. I hope I can find another one. I need to look closer at my broken one because I think my original one was phosphate also. Hard to tell from the rust but a little WD40 should help reveal what it was on my car.

Just an update, I found my broken bolts and also found one like it. I just need to find another one. The one I have I do not have any idea where it come from. It was in my 70-72 bucket of bolts. I may have to resort to a different bolt till I find one. It is going to be a good while before I need it anyway.

That is going to be tough to find.
