You can get rebuilt spring plates for your Roto 5 Hydramatic from Fatsco Transmission for $320. Core charge is $25 I think. I have bought 2 of them, they are fully rebuilt with new springs and welded back together.
Seals, filters, rebuild kits, etc also.

Still looking for a Jetfire if you ever get tired of one of yours!

The caps are very hard to find and usually need a new filter element. Just cut a new one out of a foam air cleaner element.

Both the 1962 and 1963 Jetfire used the same cap and the same sticker. However, in 1963 the Jetfire cap was painted RED. The 1962 cap is painted BLACK.

Still looking for a Jetfire, the white 63 in the classified section looks good but no response to phone calls.

I have not tried them yet, but Wheel Vintiques has a 4 x 4.5″ muilti drilled bare wheel available in 2 14″ sizes. I have not asked them yet if standard hub caps fit.

Thanks for the tip Eric on the PA Jetfire. I contacted him and got some photos, and asked questions. Although it has a Turbo, it doesn’t run. It also has rust. Floors have been hacked, and rust around wheels and cowl that is bondo’ed over. Base of windshield etc. It’s a shame. Needs a lot of body work. I will keep looking.

First try to shorten your TV rod. If that doesn’t work, drop the pan and adjust the band. The adjuster is located under the filter. Get a manual, it tells how to do these things.
