Working on the interior. Dash pad, door panels installed. Carburetor due next week so moving to the engine next. Hopefully it should be running by the new year.
Carburetor arrived last week! Installed the radiator, alternator, and turbo assembly. A lot of lines to hook up and hoses. Still have a few more days before I try to start it. Should be running after Christmas!
I am sitting here on lunch at work looking through your build thread. I remember this thread on ClassicOldsmobile was what I found the night before I bought our Automatic car. I am drooling over looking at your pictures, it is making me want to start working on our 4 speed car real bad. I have to try to keep myself from starting this project till I get other things done. Maybe in the spring time I can start on it.
You are doing great with it. Looking forward to seeing the completed car.
Very nice. Beautiful compartment. The 62 Jetfire resto the shop is working on is coming back from paint in not too long and that engine provides incentive!
OK the re-start is complete. Drove it a mile or so. Moved, shifted and stopped. First time in 5 years. Lots of details and exhaust installed. See the video.
Been working on a few projects but this is the current update.
Turbo down pipe.
Waldrons did a exhaust system for me. I was not happy with the flanges they made and I was able to get a correct flange from Jensen racing. Waldrons was able to install it on the pipe they made. Came out great and they are a pleasure to work with!!
Installed the rugs, console and interior. More to go but starting to shape up. My son has been under the dash trying to get the lights, wiper and electrical systems working. A few photos below of progress.
