California car born and raised-South Gate plant. Check out the tag, early build and low body number. I would like to go Turbo, I need everything including manifolds and valve covers. So if there is stuff out there let me know anyone. Jensen, don’t you have an extra 63 Turbo now?

Its the cleanest, rust free, body I ever saw, still has the red primer on the underneath, I’ll take pics later. No Turbo, it looks like a Dealer conversion to 4 bbl, very good conversion. Needs new Saddle interior. Original motor, S T on head, original JJ block, I’m sure the tranny is original just haven’t looked yet. I can’t believe the’re still…[Read more]

Just picked up a 1963 Jetfire that is missing the drivers side door panel (Saddle color). I have the emblem for it. Is the Cutlass the same except the emblem? are there any panels out there that anyone wants to sell, either used or aftermarket that would work? I could dye it if its a different color.

Egge http://www.egge.com/kits?make=OLDSMOBILE
has all the engine parts, and complete engine kits. You can get Felpro gaskets and other parts from Auto parts stores like O’Reilly. If D&D can’t get the Felpro neopreme rear main seal, you can make your own from an availible part. Front cover neopreme seals are availible too.
See my build thread. -

Trans pan started leaking so I removed it and changed the filter also. While I was in there, I adjusted the band adjustment per the Manual. The screw is under the filter. The filter just pulls off.
This adjustment should be done every 26,000 miles. Huge difference on how the trans shifts now. Does not hesitate like before. Parts for the Olds F85…[Read more] -

I have been driving to break in the motor. I have 100 miles so far and it runs great. Timing is set to 5* Btdc to be safe. I put on new Radials and kept the old Bias ply B78-13’s (they still look new but their age worries me for long distance driving). They were not the correct size and 30 years old. The new Radials are the only ones I can find…[Read more]

What I have found is that Methanol in windshield washer fluid is illegal in California. So far, I have just used Heet and Distilled water, with Prestone Anti-Rust. the Prestone gives the fluid the milky white look like the original Oldsmobile fluid.
