jensenracing77 started the topic Vacuum advance wanted in the forum Discussion Topics – Ask the Experts 7 years ago
I would like to find an NOS vacuum advance unit for the manual transmission Jetfire, part number 1116205. This is the original part number from 62 and 63. The 72 parts book shows that this part number was consolidated to a 1116146 unit but this is not the same thing as the one from 62 and 63. The 146 was originally made for the 58 model year and…[Read more]

The guy that done this article said he may consider running to Lansing for the Homecoming but not sure if he will. Would not be a bad Idea to let Hemmings know and see if they would be interested. I sure hope we have a good turnout. Judy wants at least 10 cars. At one time I thought we had 6 confirmed but it may only be 4 now. There are 5 maybes.

Met this guy at the MCACN show and said he would like to do a story on me and the car. I had several people tell me that there but this guy contacted me last month to follow through.

Sure never seen that one before. Not even in any factory photos. I would think he made it but I don’t know.

The air filter instructions. I have not looked if they reproduce them or not but I would think they do.

jensenracing77 replied to the topic air cleaner in the forum Discussion Topics – Ask the Experts 7 years ago
Not sure if someone could cross it but Oldsmobile used Rinshed-Mason #E29R007 red enamel. These instructions were for the 2 bbl but the 4 bbl air cleaner was the same color as far as I know. It has some orange to it but mostly red.

jensenracing77 replied to the topic Looking for '62 INBOARD taillight housing in the forum Discussion Topics – Ask the Experts 7 years, 1 month ago
I suppose you could drill the washer offset and make it like original but if you use the offset style you will have to take more off the hole in the housing for the head of the socket to fit.

jensenracing77 replied to the topic Looking for '62 INBOARD taillight housing in the forum Discussion Topics – Ask the Experts 7 years, 1 month ago
If you have extra outboard housings this is not to hard to do. I first cut the back off of a used inboard and then used a grinder to the outside edge till it fit inside the other. The original hole is offset and I am not sure why that is? I also got a thin fender washer that fit inside the housing with a 1/4 ID hole. I used a hole saw in a drill…[Read more]

I was looking at this today. I believe it is going to be very simple to modify an outboard side. I am taking some used parts to work tomorrow and try it on lunch. May not be something you want to do for your car but it is the way I am going on my 4 speed car till I find a couple NOS inboard housings. I will post some pictures tomorrow night if I…[Read more]

Who has the best vent window weatherstripping? With it being a hardtop Jetfire do I order it for convertible or do I order it for the post model? Or do I order it for the Buick hardtop?
What about the roofrail and door weatherstripping? Then the window fuzzies?
