These plastic inserts fit into the slots in the door and hold the nails in the door panel nice and tight. The original plastic inserts are usually loose or broken. I can only find these at my local True Value hard ware store. Made by Midwest…[Read more]

Welcome aboard! We had seen that Jetfire for sale in California and I am glad some one bought it. It looks real good in the photos. Are you planning to put a Turbo back on it? I am near San Diego and I have a 63 but I used to have a 62.

I did not need to rebuild my clutch, but if you search the web you will find people. I think there is a Corvette guy that does them also.

My 62 had A/C so it had the fan and clutch. There are people who can rebuild the clutches better then new.
Water pumps are all over ebay. Get a rebuilt one and have a machine shop press your hub on to it. There are cast iron versions by Cardone 58-108 that would be more reliable. I would not use the D&D pulley as when you stray from stock, you are…[Read more] -

It really moves! Still doing break- in and adjustments.
I asked the original owner about the 4 way power seat option that is not on the window sticker. He said he added it later after finding the complete seat stuff at a junkyard a long time ago. -

Got it running this weekend! Rebuilt the motor and trans, new interior, Jim did the Turbo and carb. I left the body alone as it was great, no rust at all. Still has the original shocks.
Now I just need to dial everything in. Thanks to Ken for parts help!

That really is a great car, I would buy it back if I had the money. Made a model of it last year:

Eric, I would pull off a valve cover and check for sludge. Mine ran, but once I looked inside, I saw it needed to be taken apart it was so full of sludge.

Greg Oakley replied to the topic Air filter to PCV hose in the forum Discussion Topics – Ask the Experts 10 years, 2 months ago
Thanks Jensen, I have a molded heater hose that would fit, but the rubber used in heater hoses is not resistant to the chemicals in crankcase fumes and would soon rot. I have used silicon hose on supercharger installs so maybe I will look in that direction

Anyone find a hose for this? A molded heater hose in the right shape can be found, but it would not hold up to the crankcase fumes.
Any ideas for a hose that is ok for PCV? -
