Oldsmobile Jetfire. I was going to make it just Jetfire but some Transformer toys pop up all the time with just Jetfire. If you search on Facebook Jetfire group or Oldsmobile Jetfire it should pop up. I believe Jetfire will also but you will have to scroll down to find it.

Glad to hear you are making it! I am out till Sunday then work 4 days and then off to the Homecoming show. I am not sure when I will have time to clean my cars. I very well may have to take mine dirty and try to clean on them there some

I have been talking to Ken and he has made a business contact that can make our much needed foot flange gaskets. He has passed this information on to me and I am planning to have some made. In this first picture I marked 3 holes with a marker. I never noticed it till now but all three line up perfectly with the throttle part way open. One hole is in the throttle body and the other two are on the back side throttle bracket. I looked in the 62 and 63 service manuals and see nothing to reference this. They are 3/8 SAE threads I believe. That is standard fine thread. Is this a Jetfire engine or a Cutlass/f-85 engine? I have some extra Jetfire rod bolts but they are different than the other 215 engines.

Are you talking about the threaded joint where they go together is wearing out or the ball on the end? I have had several of these cars now and not one of them has had any loose steering parts. Not sure if I am just lucky or what. I should have a good used original if you want it.

I just pulled a driveshaft from a 62 Cutlass for comparison. Ken and Jim were correct about the Cutlass having a smaller driveshaft. The back section between the 63 4 speed Jetfire and 62 automatic Jetfire driveshafts are the same. The front section between the Cutlass automatic and the Jetfire automatic are the same.
