I had a th200 in my 79 monte…its crapped out. I swapped it with a th350.. just saying the th200 isn’t a good trans.

I had to use a group 85 to fit, and my battery tray looks like that 62cutlass posted. tried an after market hold down,and didn’t work. I think I am missing a bracket.

I have only found two kits. one from Kanter,and the other from BCCP…scarebird has brackets only.

I got that switch in as tight as I can get it, and still it does not work. I know it works cuz I grounded out by accident as it touched the underside of the dash. I still cannot get them to work, now I also lost the estuchion…

BCCP got back to me today. for around $1500 +shipping will get me disc brake conv.5 lug, dual res. m/c and 5 lug rear axles. I just have to drill the rear drums….

unfortunately I do not use photo bucket anymore…too many ads and 2.50 /month aint worth it.

It does not look like BCCP offers the disc brake conv. They don’t list it on their fb page, and their web site seems to be down. I have had people telling me scarebird has one, but all they have are brackets. then you need to go frankensien everything together. For what Kanter lists isn’t all that bad, but will continue to look.

I had it mounted in the dash, and it did not work, that’s my dilemma

so how is the switch grounded? the green wire right? looking at everything, I do not see any other wires that are not connected except a grey wire but that looks to be for something else. all I know is my comet isn’t this complicated.

grounded how? the green wire ? When I just checked for voltage, and everything seemed good the switch itself touched the under side of the dash itself and they worked checked again it worked, but when its not touching the dash it does not work.

well to no avail……I know the motor works checked it before I took the toggle out. just put a new fuse in.still nothing the previous owner had a wire going to the + and the – then the toggle……is there only the 3 wires going into the switch? because on the switch I have red white and green, but purple on the motor…….Oh how I hate…[Read more]
