This is a picture they sent me but they are supposed to be made of the same Nitrile rubber as original.

Don’t sound like a float or accelerator pump issue to me. If all you are doing is putting it into gear and it dies then it is something else. What happens when you give it a little gas and put it into gear?

I just got an email that they should have some parts made next week. I am not sure if that is a test part or the actual finished product but we will see. At lest it is still moving along. Just hope nothing happens to my NOS one I sent them.

Thanks for the pictures Jim. He has an NOS one now also. I was able to get two of them from my Hawaii friend and one went to Oaklyss. For sure need to save the old one so someone can make a replacement in the future with it.

I will try to get a picture of the clip on the fork end. I am undecided if I will use the NOS boot or reuse the original one on my car. I am leaning toward using the original and saving the NOS for a backup.

Bryce has passed away and the family is selling the car. I talked the the guy that listed it and he is not really that interested in selling it on eBay and prefer you call him and deal in person. He just didn’t know where else to list it.

After re-reading it. I fear he has passed on?

We had talked early this year about trying to get his car up to the Homecoming this year but he felt that it was to far for him to venture out at his age.

Do you have one to get rebuilt or are you looking for a new one?

I would like to know as well what people are using. My original one is nice as could be and I am seriously thinking about reusing it. Not sure if NOS would be easy to find or not but I suspect that it is the same for many years and applications. I still need to look into it myself.

Steering linkage is done. Phosphate coated all the bolts and hardware. The sleeves should not be phosphate I do not believe but I decided to on this car. I think they were natural steal when new but not sure.

I just had my clutch and pressure plate rebuilt by Clutch Dynamics in Lansing Michigan. He charged me $172 total with shipping. Mine was the second Jetfire clutch he rebuilt in 6 months. Also, welcome to the Jetfire community. We are a small group of very rare car owners. From what I know of your car it looks to be a really good one. I supplied them the original back seat cover to use for material to fix the fronts.

It has a roughly 50% chance of being good. If it is bad it has become very difficult to find good used ones. I have 10 “extra” turbo systems and of those only 3 had good ones. I have since sold all of those good ones. I will be talking to these people soon and hope to have a sample in the next couple weeks.

Was it working at all before?

Turns out that my replacement master cylinder is not a Moraine, it is a Wagner. I could be wrong but I am not sure if any of these cars came with a Wagner? I am pooped… Started at 6:30 this morning bead blasting bolts and phosphating till I blew the air line on the bead blast cabinet. Can’t get one till Tuesday… Then started working on master cylinders.
