Just found this paint dab on an original 63 steering link. This was a front suspension with the 104 code on yellow tape. I am guessing that this yellow paint has to do with the yellow 104 code tape on the brake drum.

I never thought about them possibly being convertible top bolts. I Have never worked on a convertible before to know. Can anyone confirm if that is correct? If that is what they are for I know I will not need them. Thanks,

I just looked at the Inline Tube part numbers. I see that they show 61-62 the same for fuel lines and 63 has another part number. Inline Tube is a mixed bag. I can’t stand the business itself but they generally have quality parts. They have got to have the program somewhere if they made them correct at one time.

Not completely sure yet but with it being solid and a factory 4 speed car it should do well. Whatever I get for it will all go into my 62 4 speed Jetfire. The VIN is 631K0…

I just ask him to look closer at it and he is telling me that it is a K. I guess I need to see the VIN? That would settle it. I am not seeing where he listed the VIN in the add. I thought it was required.

After looking closer then I think you are correct that it is BC. The corrosion almost looked like BK. That makes more sense now. This car is on eBay now and looks like a reasonable price.

Here is a new cowl tag. It appears that we may have an anomaly. The 63 I just picked up has a date of 01D and is body number 645. This tag is the same plant and the date looks like it is 01C but the body number looks like 660. Looks like it is an earlier car with a higher body number.
