Latest update : after installing a 4 speed Tranny and it working smoothly, I also swapped out the old Rochester Carb for a MSD Fuel Injected Carburetor – starts right up without pumping the gas pedal every time – I no longer deal with rough starting after the engine has been warmed due to fuel evaporation in the float chamber……..F.I.
